The Wool - keeping it local
Most people on Vancouver Island do not know just how many sheep live here with us. And while most sheep farmers on the Island (and the rest of Canada) farm primarily for meat and/or milk, we also have a few dozen farmers who are involved in the wool trade with our local crafters. The problem is that farmers are busy farming! Several have managed to build their own wool following through local fairs or web sales, but we can do so much more for our farmers to help keep the wool on the Island.
